Join us Saturday, February 7, 2026 as we’re thrilled to celebrate 20 incredible years of Walk the Fight & Run the Distance—an inspiring event supporting the community outreach and wellness programs of the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.

 

Event Highlights:

  • Fun Walk (2 Blocks) – Short, sweet, and perfect for all ages!

  • 4K Walk (2.8 miles) – Take in the atmosphere and enjoy the route at your own pace.

  • 5K Timed Run (3.2 miles) – For those who want to go the distance and race for a reason!

  • Resource Fair – Discover valuable programs, services, and tools from Valley vendors to help you live your best life.

  • Kids Area – Let the little ones enjoy games, win prizes, show off fun tattoos, and make a walk-day keepsake.

  • Photo Booth – Strike a pose with friends or family (or the big gloves!) and capture a moment you’ll always remember.

  • Poster Table – Make your own sign to honor a loved one or show your support—then carry it proudly during the walk/run.

Race Day Information

  • Race Day Check In and Registration will be available beginning at 7:00am at Tempe Beach Park

    • We accept cash, check, and credit card on race day.  Race day prices are:

      • 5K Run - $50

      • 4K Walk & 1 Block Stroll - $40

    • All shirts sizes may not be available on race day (please register online before race day to guarantee your shirt size choice).

  • Wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly event.

    • All wheelchairs, stollers, and leashed pets must start at the back of the start line coral.

      • All participants are chipped time, so your time will not be affected by starting at the back of the coral.  Your  time will not start until you cross the start line.

  • The course will take you along the dedicated running trails at Tempe Town Lake (all asphalt and concrete), starting and ending at Tempe Beach Park.  Please note - this is an open use trail system and does not close for our event.

  • Due to the common start/finish line there will be no bag check for this event.
